Through specific projects, CO-OPERAID promotes women and girls in its project areas. Their needs and concerns are particularly neglected within most of the communities we support. To implement the projects, we build partnerships with local women's organizations that are anchored in the region and have the best access to the beneficiaries. Currently, your sponsorship is supporting a project in Laos that provides primary education and vocational training for victims of human trafficking, and a project in Uganda that runs a women's shelter for victims of violence and enables them to take new steps in life through vocational training.

The economic empowerment of girls and women, which is the goal of vocational training, brings self-confidence, more recognition, more financial independence and new perspectives. Your sponsorship for girls and women contributes to a little more social justice in the CO-OPERAID project regions.
